1. Advertise your listings on Craigslist.com and Backpage.com. These are two of the highest traffic free classified websites currently on the Internet. They are easy to use to post your real estate listings.
2. Use your business cards as an advertisement. Instead of being too generic, add a call to action right on the card, a reason for the potential client to call you. Maybe you can give away a free report, or have them sign up for a list of foreclosures, or maybe you could even offer them a free gift card for setting an appointment with you. A few simple changes to your current business card can make them a powerful part of your marketing.
3. Start a blog, and add to it every single day. Write about local real estate. Write about your business, your listings, your buyers, or anything else you can think of. Be sure to use local keywords, such as the name of the city you work in, or names of specific developments or condo projects. As your blog grows, Google and other search engines will pick it up, and eventually you will start getting a lot of traffic to your real estate blog.
4. Add riders to your yard signs that direct people to your website. Make sure your website has a sign up form where people can request more information on a property, or request a showing on a property.
5. Host a picnic for friends, family members, clients, and other acquaintances. Make sure everyone knows it is sponsored by you real estate business. Take time to network with everyone, and don’t be shy about asking for referrals.
